Custom ceremony of Nemlen ( Edat Nemlen), representing Tribe tradition of Dayak Wehea [in] District Of Estuary of Wehea ( Wahau) Sub-Province of Kutai East which almost sirna, because its materials ( tengkorak) very [is] difficult obtained and lack of society enthusiasm to this ceremony, despitefully, also in consequence of change and growth of epoch and also influence and growth of religion. [At] away back, Edat Nemlen executed the more or less 6 year once is, irrespective [of] local condition and situation.
Edat Nemlen have to wear skull ( human being head) dead bleed or murdered with weapon like gun, keris, mendau, lance and others.
One human being skull shall only wear in once Nemlen, but [at] recently ( caused by change of difficult epoch and also him get materials / skull), one skull can wear to be more from once Nemlen, where skull split ( dibagi) become some part, where some of skull which have been divided to be weared for Nemlen and some of kept other to be utilized again at the (time) of execution of next Nemlen.
A. History of Edat Nemlen.
Based upon the historying [him/ it], culture of Nemlen come from Delai ( Deity / Thunder) taught to Bitwea, a human being nation since former epoch and continue until now, although at the moment have started to fade.
a. Making boat.
At one particular day, Bitwea go to forest to make boat. and him find wood which suited for boat materials, later;then he/she cut away the wood. After wood collapse, he/she start to measure wood length matching with its desire, then cut part of wood back part and jetty. Later;Then he/she start to train of dress or taper the each its back part as according to boat picture to be made [by] before split to become two shares.
After altogether ready to, he/she start to make hole or [his/its] ditch from part of jetty until its back part to spliting [him/ it] become two shares.
